I am a faithful Catholic therapist, the wife of several decades, and a mother of nine children. I have personally experienced the suicide of a family member, grief, loss, and navigating life stages. Later in life, I returned to graduate school to earn my Master’s degree in Mental Health Counseling to accompany others in their healing, drawing on my life experience, clinical expertise, and a deep respect for the Catholic understanding of the human person.

 

While I offer Catholic counseling for adolescents, young adults, adults, and seniors navigating life transitions, including identity development, vocational discernment, midlife changes, and the challenges of aging, I also work with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, grief and loss, trauma, and struggles related to meaning, purpose, and faith. I respect each client’s personal faith and only incorporate spiritual matters with the client’s consent.

 

My approach is person-centered and rooted in a strength-based perspective, grounded in the belief that each person is created in the image and likeness of God and endowed with inherent dignity and gifts. In times of suffering, these gifts can become obscured. Therapy provides a space to rediscover them, integrate emotional and spiritual healing, and grow in freedom and hope.

 

I draw from evidence-based modalities including Mindfulness, Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Solution-Focused Therapy, and Logotherapy (search for meaning and purpose). As a wellness coach, I also support clients in goal setting, habit formation, accountability, and living a balanced, healthy lifestyle.

 

My goal is to help clients understand the roots of their struggles, grow in self-awareness and self-compassion, and strengthen their relationships, so they may live with greater clarity, purpose, and peace.
