GRACE & NATURE
About
If you are struggling with sexual compulsions or unwanted sexual behaviors, such as pornography use, you are not alone. There are many faithful people, both men and women, who have the same struggle. Our world bombards us with this content and it is inherently addictive by nature. If you desire freedom please know that healing is possible! At Grace and Nature we have therapists who work from sound, evidenced based treatments that are informed by the teachings of the Church.
Our hearts are restless until the rest in You. -St. Augustine
Common Signs You May Benefit from Counseling:
You have difficulty stopping pornography use despite repeated attempts
You have feelings of shame, guilt, or discouragement
Secrecy is affecting your marriage or relationship
You have noticed an escalation in frequency or intensity of behaviors
You are struggling in your spiritual life, specifically around chastity
There has been a loss of trust in your marriage or relationship
Our Catholic Approach
At Grace and Nature we integrate the Church's moral and anthropological teachings into therapy at the level appropriate for each client. This means that we have a respect for the teachings of the Church and bring that into the counseling room at the request of the client. The Church's teachings on sexuality are often misunderstood and you can expect a counselor who will approach you with compassion and evidence-based treatment to help you find the freedom you are longing for. You will not find judgement, shame, or ridicule.
Here's some of what you can expect from counseling where sexual compulsions are the clinical focus:
Helping you understand hidden patterns and triggers
Managing urges and compulsions
Working on reducing shame
Strengthening your relationships
Rebuilding trust
Developing healthier coping strategies
Integrating faith into recovery
